Bacterial infections happen when single-celled organisms multiply or release toxins into the body. This can lead to a number of symptoms and could even be very dangerous. Some important things to know about bacterial diseases are:

- Bug bites, cuts, and other open wounds are all ways that bacteria can get into the body.
- Airway, which can cause lung diseases like pneumonia
- Urinary tract, which can lead to UTIs and kidney problems
- Skin, which can lead to cellulitis and MRSA illnesses
- Meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is one type of bacteria that can't be killed with some medicines.
List of Symptoms:
- Rash that is red, itchy, and hurts (impetigo, erythrasma, folliculitis, MRSA)
- Pain in the lungs when breathing (pneumonia)
- GI tract: stomach pain and diarrhoea (C. diff.)
- Urinary tract: burning feeling while peeing and having to go to the toilet a lot (UTIs)
- Organ function: inflammation and swelling that can make an organ not work right (for example, pyelonephritis can make the kidneys not work right).
